Richmond event honors and shows opportunities to veterans

RICHMOND, Calif. (KGO) -- Veterans were invited to the Richmond Craneway Pavilion today to be celebrated by local residents and dignitaries.

The event also offered help to veterans. A variety of booths gave veterans information on what benefits and resources are available to them. Some in the crowd said they were grateful for this opportunity -- noting that it can be very confusing to sort through what is available to them.

There will also be speakers including the Mayor of Richmond and Congressman Mark DeSaulnier.
