Driver rescued after big rig crash on I-80 in Fairfield

Emergency crews are working to rescue a person who got trapped in a car under a big rig after a crash on westbound Interstate 80 in Fairfield today.


FAIRFIELD, Calif. - Emergency crews are worked to rescue a person who got trapped in a car under a big rig after a crash on westbound Interstate 80 in Fairfield today.

CHP officials report that one person was trapped inside a car with the big rig on top of them.

Two westbound lanes were blocked as crews worked to rescue that person.

Officials also declared a hazmat situation for that area due to spilled chemicals from the crash.
