BERKELEY, Calif. - The UC Berkeley campus is grieving the loss of five young people with a love for arts and music, who were killed in the deadly Oakland warehouse fire.
Two UC Berkeley undergrads, Vanessa Plotkin and Jennifer Morris, two recent alumni Griffin Madden and David Cline, and one campus volunteer, Chelsea Faith Dolan, were among them.

"We will be leaning on each other in the coming days to support each other and support the families," said Janet Gilmore, UCB spokeswoman.
Plotkin and Morris were roommates and had attended the Ghost Ship party together. Both were juniors and both volunteers at KALX, the campus radio station. Morris, from Foster City, was majoring in media studies.
The department released a statement, stating in part, "Jenny was a wonderfully bright and thoughtful young woman, who came to the study of media at Cal out of a passion for better understanding the world around her."
