Audubon Canyon Ranch is reporting that a mother mountain lion, known as P1, and her only surviving kitten were just spotted on surveillance cameras on the premises.


SONOMA, Calif. - Audubon Canyon Ranch is reporting that a mother mountain lion, known as P1, and her only surviving kitten were just spotted on surveillance cameras on the premises.

P1 and her cub were caught on camera near Bennett Valley, Sonoma in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The cameras were placed by Dr. Quinton Martins after their other equipment was destroyed in the North Bay Fires.

Researchers say the cub is 8 months old and appears to be very healthy. The duo was spotted feasting on a big buck that was taken down by P1 just a few days prior.
