WASHINGTON - The person at Twitter who temporarily deleted President Trump's account wasn't a full-timer.
According to The New York Times, via unnamed sources, the person responsible was a contract employee.
The President sent this tweet saying quote: "My Twitter account was taken down for 11 minutes by a rogue employee. I guess the word must finally be getting out - and having an impact."
People trying to follow the "Real Donald Trump" account saw the page said his account did not exist.
San Francisco-based Twitter says a customer support employee who was leaving the company is responsible.
Twitter said it has now implemented safeguards to prevent this from happening again.
They also said, "We won't be able to share all details but we take this seriously and our teams are on it."
Many took to the social media site reacting to the Presidents Twitter Disappearance.
