January 4, 2008 12:00:00 AM PST
Bay Area Rapid Transit service resumed this afternoon between the 24th Street-Mission station in San Francisco and the Daly City station after being temporarily halted while crews removed a downed tree from the tracks, according to a BART spokesperson.

Service was restored shortly after 2 p.m.

Trains are still running at reduced speeds throughout the BART system because of the weather, with average delays of five to 10 minutes, according to BART.
