About The Beckwiths:
Sharon and Maxton met while attending the University of California at Santa Barbara, and were married soon after completion over ten years ago (Maxton thinks that giving Sharon a Dalmatian puppy in their first year sealed the deal!) Upon returning home to the Bay Area, Sharon worked in corporate sales, sales training and marketing, honing skills she uses daily at The Little Author.

Maxton worked for over ten years as a municipal bond broker, while constantly writing and illustrating, as he pursued his dream of getting published as an author/illustrator of children's books.

The idea for The Little Author came full circle as the Beckwith's watched their own children's interests in artwork and stories develop. Throwing caution to the wind, all prior job security was left behind, and The Little Author, Inc. was born in the East Bay Hills, in December of 2005.
