The Spirit of Uganda is a group of energetic and inspiring young performers who are delighting audiences worldwide with their traditional East African songs. The youngsters stopped by our studio and we spoke with two of their leaders, Peter Kasule & Alexis Hefley.

The Spirit of Uganda youth performance troupe will be at Macy's Union Square for a meet and greet on Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. They will sign autographs and offer merchandise for sale, including CDs, T-Shirts, and a beautiful photography book, "Transcendent Spirit: The Orphans of Uganda," by world-renowned photojournalist Douglas Menuez. All proceeds benefit Empower African Children.
