Pear Pie Pockets

    Ingredients
    1 Pillsbury crescent roll
    1 pear
    1/2 apple
    2 tsp currants
    4 tsp orange juice
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp brown sugar

    Method:

    1. Have grown-up preheat oven to 375 °F.
    2. Unroll crescent dough into 4 rectangles by placing 2 triangles together and firmly pressing perforations.
    3. Place in an ungreased cookie sheet and keep in the refrigerator until ready to use.
    4. Chop 3/4 of pear and 1/2 an apple into small cubes (reserve remaining pear for garnishing the pockets).
    5. Place pears and apples place in a bowl along with currants, cinnamon, sugar and orange juice and combine.
    6. Place a heaping spoonful of mixture onto one side of your rectangle.
    7. Carefully fold dough over mix and press edges with fork to seal.
    8. Garnish pocket with thin pieces of pear cut into shapes and sprinkle with a pinch of sugar.
    9. Bake at 375°F for 8 minutes or until golden brown.
    10. Cool for 5 minutes. Share with friends and enjoy.
