About Mark A. Moyad, MD, MPH:
Mark A. Moyad, MD is the Phil F. Jenkins Director of Preventive & Alternative Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center, and a practicing physician. Dr. Moyad is the editor-in-chief of the journal Seminars in Preventive and Alternative Medicine published by Elsevier where he has just completed a peer-reviewed clinical research review article "Vitamin C Dietary Supplements: An Objective Review of the Clinical Evidence. Part I," published September 24, 2007.
A frequent source for the press, Dr. Moyad is an oft-quoted medical expert who has appeared in WebMD, HealthDay, Prevention, Good Housekeeping, Best Life, American Family Physician, Alternative Medicine and other national, consumer, health trade and nutrition media.
Dr. Moyad is the primary author of over 100 medical articles and has been the guest editor of five different medical journals. In addition, he reviews or edits articles for a number of medical journals including: Nutrition and Cancer, Cancer, Urology, Journal of Urology, and British Journal of Urology. He is the editor of the complementary/preventive medicine medical book series from Humana Press; and is the author or co-author of six books including The ABC's of Nutrition and Supplements for Prostate Cancer. He received his M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine and a master's degree in public health from the University of South Florida.
