Man carjacked, kidnapped and pistol whipped

ANTIOCH, CA

At about 7:45 a.m. Antioch police received a call from the victim, who was in Pittsburg, reporting that he had just been carjacked on Contra Loma Boulevard near Fitzuren Road in Antioch, Bias said.

The man had been working when four black males between 18 and 25 years old approached him, Bias said.

The suspects then forced the victim into his van at gunpoint, struck him at least once with the gun, and drove to Pittsburg where they reportedly tried to take money out of the victim's bank account at an ATM machine.

Police found the victim's van back in Antioch at about 10:14 a.m. parked on Mahogany Way, Bias said.

The victim was not seriously injured and the van did not appear to be damaged, Bias said.
