The crash was reported at 4:52 a.m. on eastbound Highway 580 just east of Palo Verde Road, CHP Officer Kevin Kroncke said.
Preliminary reports indicate that a big rig and a box van collided and the van subsequently caught fire, according to Kroncke.
The Nos. 3 and 4 lanes were initially blocked, but the No. 3 lane reopened at 6:20 a.m., CHP Officer A. Paulson said. A Sig-alert issued at 5:29 a.m. was lifted at 9:41 a.m.
At least one person suffered minor injuries, according to Kroncke.
