Vallejo 15 year old arrested for assault

VACAVILLE, CA

Sgt. Charlie Spruill said the teen was arrested at his Vallejo home at 12:15 p.m. The teen was on probation in Solano County for gang-related robbery and conspiracy in 2006, Spruill said. He was booked into the Solano County Juvenile Hall for sexual battery, burglary, assault with intent to commit rape, false imprisonment and penetration with a foreign object, Spruill said.

At about 7:50 p.m. Monday the suspect allegedly entered the children's clothing store located at 101 Nut Tree Road, police said.

The suspect remained in the store for at least 30 minutes until just prior to closing time, when a female juvenile employee appeared to be the only worker in the store, according to officials.

The suspect reportedly attacked the victim and pulled her to the floor, where he sexually assaulted her and strangled her, police said. The victim and suspect did not know each other, Spruill said.

Another store employee reportedly interrupted the incident. The suspect pushed the second worker over a cash register counter before running out the store's front door, according to officials.

Spruill said Vallejo police assisted with the arrest and the Solano County District Attorney's Office and the California Department of Justice helped them identify the suspect.
