Four arrested in meth ring

COTATI, CA

The DEA said the methamphetamine trafficking organization operated out of Discovery Transportation, a trucking company at 368 Blodgett St. and the drugs were distributed throughout California.

Investigators seized 29 pounds of "ice" methamphetamine, 1 ounce of cocaine, 1 pound of marijuana, three assault rifles, two shotguns and three handguns, the DEA said. The FBI and the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department were involved in the two-month investigation.

Miguel Murillo-Dominguez, 42; his wife Elia Murillo, 42; Miguel Murillo Jr., 23; all of Sebastopol, and Florentino Gonzalez, 49, of Santa Rosa, were arrested without incident, the DEA said. The Sonoma County District Attorney's Office will prosecute the case.

The investigation culminated Tuesday when narcotics agents served two state-authorized search warrants, one at Discovery Trucking and the other at Murillo-Dominguez's residence at 1075 Sholem Lane in Sebastopol, the DEA said.

The DEA said the "ice" methamphetamine, which resembles shards of glass or ice and is typically smoked, was seized at the trucking company. The other drugs and weapons were seized at the Sebastopol residence, the DEA said.
