Teen grabbed near Palo Alto high school

PALO ALTO, CA

A teenager told police at 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning she was walking to school after an early morning church program on the 1400 block of El Camino Real. The suspect started chatting to the girl while brushing against her arm at the intersection of El Camino and Churchill; he tried to lead her down Churchill and grabbed the girl twice on her rear. She pushed him away and told her to leave her alone and ran to the high school to report what happened.

On Friday morning, extra patrols will be out. The suspect called himself "Jesse" and is being described as a Hispanic or Polynesian male in his early 30s, 5' 9", and 180-200 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes and was wearing dark blue carpenter jeans, a blue and gray fleece pullover and tennis shoes.

The area of the incident has a narrow sidewalk, it's shaded by trees and can't be seen by traffic easily.

Palo Alto police are asking anyone with more information to give them a call.
