Digitek heart pill recalled

April 30, 2008 11:28:37 PM PDT
A widely used heart pill is being recalled because some tablets may contain twice as much medicine as it should.

Novato resident, Yawn Molar was notified by a Costco pharmacist about the recall of the generic heart drug Digitek.

Yawn was prescribed the pill last November to treat an irregular heartbeat. He told his doctor about some side effects, including dizziness and vision changes.

If you're taking Digitek, a local pharmacist recommends that you ask your doctor for another name brand.
