Bingo hike with the kids!

Your kids will be ready and willing to hit the hiking trails if you offer them this hike with a twist. It's called a bingo hike. We caught up with fitness expert Lorrie Sullenberger at Las Trampas Regional Park in San Ramon recently to find out what it's all about.

Lorrie's "Tips for the Trail" to be prepared:

1. Wear long pants to avoid brushing bare legs against poison oak.

2. Be sure to bring a snack along to keep energy levels up.

3. Be sure to bring water to rehydrate along the hike.

4. Bring a compact first aid kit in case of bug bites, scrapes, sprained ankle, etc.

(We suggest printing it out on a color printer if possible, but black and white will also do fine.)
