Police investigates Oakland shootings

Oakland police this morning are investigating two fatal shootings that have occurred since Wednesday afternoon, according to the Police Department.

The first shooting was reported around 2 p.m. Wednesday in the 3000 block of Dakota Street, police said. One victim was killed.

A second fatal shooting was reported at about 12:30 a.m. today in the area of 72nd and Lacey avenues, police said. One victim was killed, according to police.
