The Alameda County coroner's bureau today identified a 30-year-old man killed in an apparent motorcycle accident in Oakland on Saturday night.

Adrian Eliseo Valdivia-Ramirez was found by a California Highway Patrol unit at 5:27 a.m. today beneath an underpass at the eastbound Interstate Highway 80 connector ramp to southbound Interstate Highway 880.

An investigation into the crash began at 9:51 p.m. Saturday when the CHP received reports of a solo-motorcycle accident in the area of the transition ramp, however officers were unable to locate a motorcycle or a victim, according to the CHP.

Then, at 11:13 p.m., the CHP received a second report of a motorcycle crash in the same area. Responding officers located a 1982 Honda motorcycle in the center divide on the connector ramp. Officers searched the surrounding area, but did not locate the victim.

This morning, the CHP found Valdivia-Ramirez within some trees, about 500 feet from the motorcycle.

The crash remains under investigation.
