Antioch police are continuing their search today for a 56-year-old man reported missing a week ago by his partner after the man told his partner he was leaving.

Forrest French was reported missing May 23 after he took his wallet and left his home on a bicycle. He may be with family in Southern California, Antioch police Sgt. Don LaDue said today.

French also reportedly had some ties with the homeless community in Antioch. Police are checking parks and other areas frequented by homeless people for any leads, according to LaDue.

Police also are checking hospitals and jails.

French possibly has a psychological condition and is known to experience mood swings, according to LaDue.

French is described as a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 155 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a red and black long-sleeved button-up shirt, brown cargo pants and a baseball cap, according to LaDue.
