About the Mary Pols
A native of Maine, Mary Pols Lives with her son, Dolan, in Northern California. A former staff writer for the Los Angeles Times, the Seattle Times and the Los Angeles Daily News, she was the film critic for the Contra-Costa Times for nearly a decade. She has taught at the University of California-Berkeley and was a Knight Fellow at Stanford.
