Tree sitters get nutrition bars from school

BERKELEY, CA

The four remaining /*tree sitters*/ are running out of their own food, so the university is going to haul nutrition bars up to them.

The bars are approved by the U.S. Coast Guard for use in survival kits. They have a five year shelf life, even in extreme temperatures.

The four demonstrators trying to save a grove of oak trees will have to split three of the bars a day. A nutritionist hired by the university said that will supply them with enough calories, vitamins and minerals to get by on each day.
