Muni service restored on lines

SAN FRANCISCO

The disruption stemmed from a damaged pantograph, which connects the light rail vehicle to the overhead wire that provides electrical power to the vehicle, Muni spokesman Judson True said.

The problem originated with an N-Judah light rail vehicle at Duboce Avenue and Church Street shortly before 6:25 a.m., True said.

Bus shuttles were implemented for the inbound and outbound N-Judah line and the outbound J-Church line beyond Church Street and Duboce Avenue. Those will remain in place until light rail service is back on schedule.
