Rescued feral cats in need of homes

SAN JOSE, CA

Officials say people have dumped cats on the property over the years, and their numbers have multiplied. But now, the 50-acre stable has been taken over by the city, and the animals have to be off the property by October 15th.

A non-profit group called /*Town Cats*/ is trying to figure out how to save the cats, but says it needs help from the public including volunteers, and a place to take the animals until they're adopted.

"So they're looking for people who have barnyards or farms who might need mousers, and people who are willing to take some of these cats in," said Laura Fulda from the Humane Society Silicon Valley.
