Caltrain to hold community meetings

Caltrain will hold public meetings to take comments about proposed fare increase which, if approved, would go into effect Jan. 1, 2009. The following proposals will be considered:
  • Increase the base fare and/or zone fare by 25 cents
  • Introduction of an Eight-ride Ticket
  • Minor language changes to the Codified Tariff All three meetings will begin at 6 p.m. and be held at these locations on the following dates: Aug. 25 - Caltrain Headquarters

    1250 San Carlos Ave., San Carlos
    Aug. 26 - South Bay Historical Railroad Society, Inc.
    Edward Peterman Museum
    Santa Clara Caltrain Station
    1005 Railroad Ave., Santa Clara
    Aug. 27 - San Francisco Main Library, Koret Auditorium
    100 Larkin St., San Francisco
