Romney not upset at missing ticket

Mitt Romney says he's "not disappointed at all" at being passed over for the Republican vice presidential nomination.

But he says he wouldn't be interested in a Cabinet post in a McCain administration.

Romney, attending the GOP convention, says he wishes he were the Republican presidential nominee, but says McCain "won fair and square."

The former Massachusetts governor was widely believed to have been on McCain's short list for a running mate. He says he assumes the eventual pick, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, was well-vetted, despite this week's revelations concerning her daughter and an Alaska ethics probe. Romney says he thinks Palin will "strengthen the McCain ticket dramatically."

Romney is to address the convention tomorrow night.
