A 76-year-old woman called police at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday to report that someone had entered her house on Pine Tree Court. The woman told police that when she called out, a man responded.
The man fled before officers arrived, and the woman, who is disabled, was unharmed, police said.
Police said there is no immediate indication that Saturday's incident is related to several other recent reports of intruders in eastern San Rafael.
San Rafael residents who notice suspicious activity in their neighborhood are urged to call police at (415) 485-3000.
