A monument to labor leader Cesar Chavez now stands at San Jose State University.

The unveiling took place Thursday afternoon. The 22-foot-tall arch, called the "Arch of Dignity, Equality and Justice," is topped with an eagle, the emblem of the United Farm Workers, founded by Chavez.

Chavez died in 1993. His birthday is a state holiday in California and several other states.
