Light and fluffy Chocolate T's tea cakes!

Joyfully delicious Chocolate T's chip cookies! Introducing mother-daughter team and creators of MomAnita's Goods, Stephanie and Xavia Flemming. Their goal is to create moments of joy through their delicious baked goods.

Recipe:

Chocolate T's Chip Cookie

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 Teas. to 1 cup of flour Baking Powder
  • 1 Teas. per 1 cup of flour Vanilla Flavoring
  • 1/2 Teas. of salt
  • 2 cups (12 ounces) chocolate chips

    You cream the shortening first. Add brown sugar and blend, then blend in white sugar. Beat the eggs separately then add to mix. Blend in milk until mixed well, add flour gradually, then add baking powder, vanilla flavor and salt to mix. Add the chocolate chips last to thoroughly blend everything in together!

    Place your desired amount of cookie batter unto an ungreased - unflowered pan. For baked cookie size of approximately 3-4 inches in diameter, place about 3 tbsp full for a single size cookie

    Bake at 375 F and enjoy!

    MomAnita's TeaCakes located in Antioch, is a family owned business operated by a mother and daughter that began from a personal story. Their late grandmother Anita Hester, also known as MomAnita, cooked Southern-style meals and teacakes for the whole family. When she passed away, Stephanie and Xavia continued their grandmother's legacy by starting a business in order to share it with others. Their main goal is to create more joy in people's life so that their teacakes serve as a tool for family fun, self, friends and enjoyment.
