Town hall meetings for digital TV

SAN FRANCISCO

To get the word out FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein is in the Bay Area.

"This is the most important development in television since the advent of color, and of course color just meant you had to buy a TV and upgrade to it. This means for a lot of people need to do something more fundamental. They need to make sure their old television doesn't go bad. That it doesn't just turn dark," says Adelstein.

The commissioner will be explaining the exact process of making the switch at a series of community meetings this Thursday. 7 On Your Side's Michael Finney will also have reports tomorrow on ABC7News at 5 and 6 p.m.
