Henry Don Williams arrested in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV

Henry Don Williams, who was arrested without incident at about 2:40 p.m., is one of two suspects in the killing of 22-year-old Garcia, police said.

Gene Combs, 45, of Suisun City, was arrested earlier this month in connection with Garcia's death. On Thursday, Combs was charged with murder by the Solano County District Attorney's office.

Nicole Stewart was also arrested this month for Garcia's murder but has since been released without being charged.

Authorities have said Stewart is believed to be the driver of the 1993 Dodge Intrepid that was seen in the 5000 block of Silverado Drive in Cordelia where Garcia was killed Sept. 1. The car was found in Berkeley on Sept. 13.

Williams was charged Monday with Garcia's murder and with personal and intentional discharge and use of firearm, police said. While Williams remained at large, police urged the public and the media to not make any attempt to contact Stewart upon her release from custody.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Los Angeles Regional Taskforce, the Fairfield Police Department and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department contributed to Williams' arrest Saturday.

Williams is being held at the Clark County Detention Facility, police said.

Raymond Courtemanche, Garcia's stepfather, expressed his family's appreciation for the authorities' efforts to investigate and arrest those believed responsible for Garcia's murder.

"We are very grateful to the officers and employees of the Police Department who have worked tireless to apprehend Matt's killers," Courtemanche said. "The arrest of Williams is one more step closer to bringing healing and closure to this community who loved Matt and believed in his dream for a better Fairfield."
