New research shows acupuncture may be even more effective than medication for easing the side effects of breast cancer treatments.

Treatments that use hormone therapy can induce hot flashes, excessive sweating and fatigue.

The study at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit compared acupuncture to anti-depressants that help relieve the hot flashes and night sweats.

Researchers found acupuncture was just as effective and lasted longer, without side effects.
