Walnut Creek bank robbed Tuesday

WALNUT CREEK, CA

The robbery was reported at about 9:30 a.m. at the Pacific National Bank at 1910 Tice Valley Blvd, according to police.

The two suspects entered the bank with one of them displaying a semi-automatic handgun. The suspect with the gun jumped the teller's counter and both men demanded money from the teller, police said.

The men got an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller and concealed it in a plastic bag before fleeing the bank on foot in the westbound direction.

Walnut Creek police, along with Concord police officers and a K-9 unit, did not find the suspects in their immediate search following the robbery. No one was injured in the robbery, according to police.

Both suspects are described as black males in their mid to late 20s. The suspect who displayed the handgun is described as about 6 feet tall, 165 pounds with a thin moustache and he was wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark pants.

The second suspect is described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds, with a moustache and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, according to police.
