About Rock'n Blues By the Lake:
Rock'n Blues By the Lake is a family musical event with 4 stages including the main stage, high school stage, a children's carnival and stage, a teen stage, silent auction/raffles and more. All net proceeds go directly to the Novato public schools.
Proposed budget cuts have already impacted the public schools with pink slips going out to teachers and classified staff throughout California. Novato has been hit hard by these cuts. Rock'n Blues By the Lake, having given $330,000 over the last 5 years to the Novato Public Schools, will again give the net proceeds directly back to the schools.
Third Eye Blind and Plain White T's to headline:
The nationally known Bay Area band, THIRD EYE BLIND, will be the headliner for the
6th Annual Rock'n Blues By the Lake on September 27, 2008 at Stafford Lake Park, Novato (Marin County), California. This mainstream band appeals to all ages and their CD's have produced one hit after another.
The second headliner is the hugely popular PLAIN WHITE T's. This talented group from Chicago is one of the hottest bands in the country right now! Their song, "Hey There Delilah", was one of the biggest national chart topping singles last year, including 2.35 million downloads of the song. This song continues to be on regular radio airplay rotation throughout the country.
Also appearing on the main stage will be Alameda All-Stars (with guest Rick Cowling), Too Slim & the Taildraggers, Petty Theft, Luv Planet, and The Lonely Hearts. The children's stage will host the popular singer/composer Tim Cain and others.
