San Francisco mayor's wife Jennifer Newsom gives her first TV interview at Clift's Legendary Redwood Room since becoming first lady and shares something that's close to her heart.

About Jennifer Siebel Newsom:
A graduate of Stanford Business School and Stanford University, Jennifer volunteered as a doctor's assistant in a children's hospital in Quito, Ecuador, and later joined Conservation International, a global environmental organization, where she brought the micro-credit enterprise model to bushmen and rainforest communities in southern Africa and Latin America. Upon completing a certificate program at the American Conservatory Theater (ACT), Jennifer booked her first ever TV audition and since then has appeared in a plethora of TV shows and independent films. Jennifer is currently breaking into studio pictures. Jennifer formed a production company called Girls' Club Entertainment to develop and produce films highlighting complex female characters, especially those of international social and/or political significance.

Her first feature as a producer is being executive produced by Roger Birnbaum and Stephen Cannell and was written by a fellow Stanford graduate, Jennifer Derwingson. Her second global feature as a producer highlights the atrocities of the global sex trade and child prostitution. Jennifer dances, sings, and plays all sports. Most recently, she studied Wushu for a martial arts film. Jennifer was a starter on the Women's Junior National Soccer Team and played Varsity Soccer at Stanford prior to a back injury. Her love for travel and other cultures and languages has taken her all over the world. Jennifer continues to be a supporter for various organizations linked to the environment, education, women's and children's rights, and poverty alleviation.
