Structure fire displaces 10 tenants

North County Fire Authority officials are working today to determine the cause of a structure fire in Daly City on Thursday morning that displaced 10 tenants from a two-story home.

The one-alarm fire was reported at about 8:25 a.m. at a home at 52 Cerro Drive, according to fire officials.

Arriving firefighters reported smoke coming from the second floor of the home, and a fire was discovered in the kitchen.

The blaze was contained to the kitchen but caused heavy smoke damage throughout the rest of the home, according to fire officials. The fire was controlled by about 8:45 a.m.

The displaced tenants were able to find living assistance from neighbors.
