3 hospitalized after 2 shootings

Oakland police are investigating two separate shootings that hospitalized three people Monday night.

The first shooting was reported at about 11 p.m. in the 1600 block of 13th Street, according to police.

A man was shot in the foot and a woman was shot in the buttocks, police said. Both victims were taken to a local hospital and are in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information was immediately available, according to police.

The second shooting was reported at about 11:40 p.m. during an attempted carjacking in the 5500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way, police said.

A man suffered gunshot wounds to his back and leg but is expected to survive, according to police.

A suspect vehicle was seen leaving the scene, but no other suspect information is available and no arrests have been made, police said.

The two shootings are not believed to be related, according to police.
