The driver of an Isuzu Trooper refused to pull over when University of Santa Cruz police tried to stop him for a traffic infraction at about 7:30 a.m., Cross said.
For the next two hours the man led CHP officers on a slow chase - sometimes traveling at 30 miles per hour - from Santa Cruz to San Francisco, CHP said.
CHP officers followed the driver across the Bay Bridge into San Francisco before he pulled over at Mission and Seventh streets at 9:45 a.m., Cross said.
The man was arrested for evading police, Cross said.
