Big rig crash blocks northbound HW 101

SUNNYVALE, CA

The solo-vehicle collision was reported at about 4:35 a.m. just north of N. Mathilda Avenue on Highway 101, according to CHP Officer A. Paulson.

About 10 to 15 gallons of fuel leaked from the big rig onto the roadway, Paulson said. The three left lanes of Highway 101 are blocked while crews clean up the spill and move the vehicle.

Traffic was diverted off of the highway to Fair Oaks Avenue, according to the CHP.

A Sig-alert issued at about 5:20 a.m. was canceled just before 8:30 a.m.
