Richmond PD gets domestic violence grant

The Richmond Police Department has received a $146,000 state grant that will enable it to hire two full-time domestic violence victims' advocates, Richmond police Chief Chris Magnus said.

The grant represents a partnership between the Richmond Police Department, STAND! Against Domestic Violence and Community Violence Solutions.

The victims' advocates will be stationed at the police department beginning in January, Magnus said.
