Man arrested for robbery, attempted murder

SANTA ROSA, CA

Police detectives from the Violent Crimes Investigations Team reported that William Vosgrau was shot when he and several others were in the vicinity of the Quail Run apartments on Bellevue Avenue on Nov. 22 at 8:45 p.m., allegedly to sell a large quantity of marijuana.

In an attempt to rob the marijuana from Vosgrau and his companions, an unknown number of armed suspects opened fire and shot several rounds, leaving Vosgrau critically wounded, according to police.

The ensuing investigation led police to obtain an arrest warrant for Aldo Farias, 19, of Santa Rosa, police reported.

Farias was apprehended during a traffic stop at 2 p.m. Friday and was arrested and booked at Sonoma County Jail for robbery and attempted murder, according to police.

Vosgrau survived his injuries and was eventually released from the hospital, police reported.
