Iconic SF dealership stops new car sales

One of San Francisco's oldest car dealerships, Ellis Brooks Auto Center, stopped selling new cars Monday.

Ellis brooks still plans to sell used vehicles in its showroom on Van Ness Avenue.

The company blames the recession and the rising cost of doing business in San Francisco.

Ellis Brooks first opened in 1939.
