SFFD demonstrates Christmas tree dangers

SAN FRANCISCO

The U.S. Fire Administration reports Christmas trees account for about 200 fires every year. Those fires resulted in an average of six deaths, 25 injuries and $6 million in damage. It can take only seconds before a tree is completely engulfed in flames.

The best way to keep safe is to make sure your lights are working properly, and most importantly, keep your tree watered and don't let it dry out.
