The incident started at about 2:30 a.m. on northbound Interstate Highway 880 near A Street, according to Sgt. G. Verbeck. After a pursuit that reached speeds of more than 100 mph, the vehicle was finally stopped on Highway 880 near Davis Street in San Leandro, according to Verbeck.
No one was injured during the incident.
Verbeck could not confirm that the two people in the vehicle had been arrested, and said the sheriff's office is investigating what caused the pursuit.
