Foods to eat to lose weight and keep it off

RECIPES:

Black Beans and Quinoa
Keep this in the refrigerator and scoop up a cup of the mixture for a yummy snack anytime during the day!

Ingredients:
1 can (15.5 oz.) - Organic, low salt, Black Beans
1/2 cup Quinoa
1 cup Filtered Water

Optional:
Garnish made of chopped tomatoes, onion, cilantro (about 1 tablespoon of each)

Mexican Salt Free Seasoning (1 teaspoon) Jarred Salsa (3 tablespoons)

Whole Wheat tortillas

Fat Free shredded cheese (2 tablespoons)

Instructions:
Cook quinoa in a saucepan with boiling water to make 4-6 servings (1/2 cup of Quinoa to one cup of water) or follow the microwave directions on the box.

Open the can (15 ½ oz.) of black beans and pour into colander and rinse beans until water runs clear.

Once Quinoa is cooked, mix in black beans.

Optional: you can add some fresh chopped tomatoes, onion, cilantro and Mexican flavored salt-free seasoning

You can also try a larger portion with a whole wheat/low carb tortilla, salsa and fat-free cheese as garnish for a filling meal.

Easy Breakfast Sandwich

Ingredients:
1 piece Turkey Bacon
1 large Egg
1 Ezekiel English Muffin

Instructions:
Cook Turkey Bacon according to package instructions.

Toast Ezekiel muffin

Cook over easy egg in a pan with nonfat cooking spray

Place muffin half on plate, top with turkey bacon and egg and enjoy!
