18-year old arrested for N. Richmond murder

RICHMOND, CA

The district attorney's office filed charges Friday of homicide, attempted homicide, carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon against Richmond resident Kenneth Wayne Thornton, according to the sheriff's office. Thornton was arrested Wednesday and is being held in county jail in Martinez without bail in connection with the killing of Hassan Allen, who was found fatally shot around 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Silver Avenue in North Richmond. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call the sheriff's office at (925) 646-2441.
