Fairfield shooting suspect arrested in Oakland

Terrell Stanford, 20, was taken into custody after leaving a home on Foothill Boulevard. The arrest followed a three-month investigation by the Solano County FBI Safe Streets Task Force.

Police said Stanford went on the run while awaiting a sentencing for shooting a Fairfield resident in the face in June 2007.

On Nov. 12, Oakland police issued a robbery warrant for Stanford, who lives in Oakland but frequently visits Fairfield.

Stanford, who was booked into Alameda County jail, will face charges in Alameda County for the robbery case and then be transferred to Solano County for sentencing in the Fairfield shooting case, according to police.
