Police search for drive-by shooting suspects

Concord police are searching for two men after a fatal drive-by shooting of a man in the city Thursday night.

The shooting occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on Fry Way between Willow Pass and Clayton roads, according to police.

The victim was walking on the sidewalk with his friend when he was shot by someone in a car driving south on Fry Way, police said.

The victim was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek where he was pronounced dead within the hour, according to police.

The suspects were last seen driving west on Clayton Road in a vehicle described as a mid-1990s blue two-door coupe that is possibly made by BMW, police said. The vehicle may have been a convertible, and had a dark blue or black top.
