Shots fired during altercation in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CA

The disturbance was reported at about 1:45 p.m. in the 2700 block of N. Texas Street, according to police.

Witnesses reported an altercation between the occupants of two vehicles that ended when someone in one of the vehicles fired a shot in the direction of the other vehicle as it drove away, police said.

The bullet missed the car, but instead hit and shattered the rear windshield of another vehicle that was being driven nearby, according to police.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police are searching for the suspects as well as a silver 1990s Lincoln Continental and a white Nissan Frontier pickup truck.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call Solano County Crime Stoppers at (707) 644-STOP. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects, according to police.
