A man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after he was Tasered and shot in the arm by police Saturday.

The incident started in Vallejo when a man described as a white male 25 to 30-years, old driving a white van, lead police in a pursuit on Highway 80.

The man led police across the Carquinez Bridge into Contra Costa County. When the suspect left the highway at San Pablo Avenue in Crockett, officers unsuccessfully tried to disable the car with a PITT maneuver but were only able to flatten one front tire.

200 yards further down the road officers were finally able to stop the vehicle. Police say an officer Tasered the suspect, then the suspect was shot the arm.

There were two officers on the scene at the time of the Tasering and shooting but it is unknown which officers were responsible for either action.

It is unknown whether the driver of the van pulled a weapon on the officers.

No officers were injured during the incident.
